New Hall Pottery company dates from 1899 and ceased trading in 1956. New Hall porcelain decorations were initially applied to the body of a piece, consisting principally of simply painted floral sprays. Brother to the other famous J & G Meakin Potters, Alfred Meakin pottery has roots as far back as 1875. In the 1960-70's they produced many retro geometric patterns, as we have in our set of demitasse cups & saucers.
